Aiming to stand out on St Patrick’s Day, we revitalised our approach. The introduction of an enticing Guinness loyalty card promotion and the incorporation of Stoutie Tour Machines significantly boosted our appeal, firmly positioning us as a top choice for the festivities.
Problem: Every pub wants to make the most of St Patricks Day and there’s no shame in that! We just felt like our message was getting a little lost in the noise and we wanted to work with a key supplier to help provide a point of difference for our outlets.
Solution: We worked with Diageo in 2022 on promoting their Stoutie Tour campaign! This gave customers the chance to have a picture printed on the top of their pint of Guinness and even win a free pint! Coupled with a ‘5+1 collectors card’, the Stoutie Tour gave our operators something the other local competition didn’t and provided a great customer experience.
Outcome: We ended up giving away over 600 pints of Guinness to our loyal customers, at no expense to our landlords! Meaning our pubs were the go-to venue for St Paddies celebration alongside increasing uplift on Guinness sales by 54%! Now that’s a lot of Guinness.
